Organisers of the popular event are hopeful that this year’s fair will be bigger and better than ever, anticipating a crowd greater than 2017, which saw a whopping 10,000 walk through the gates.

“We normally get around eight to 10,000 which is a great number but we’re hoping for even more this year,” Spring Fair organiser Margaret Pond said.

It’s almost too much to see and do in one day with 100 market stalls tempting with an array of wares as well as a slew of rides, showbags, a cute-as-a-button petting zoo run by Hunter Valley Zoo, camel rides and even technology and robotics displays.

Art aficionados will also have the chance to view some work created by St Philip’s students and teachers. The students have been working with local artists Jacquie Mather-Glauser and Michelle Kemp to create some beautiful work.

The work will also be auctioned off on the day along with some other tempting prizes including a hot air balloon ride. The proceeds of the auction will go towards the school’s landscaping projects.

“It really is a truly positive day with something on offer for everyone in the family,” Mrs Pond added.

The Spring Fair will run from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 1 September in the school grounds on Lomas Lane, Nulkaba.
